美聯社報導，波蘭中央銀行貨幣政策委員會8日宣布調降指標利率，從2.5%調降至2%，以刺激經濟發展並遏止通貨膨脹。這是波蘭2013年7月來首次降息。

經濟學家沒料到波蘭會大動作降息，但稱此舉將有助國內需求和經濟成長。波蘭財政部估計，今年經濟成長可達3.3%，較去年增加1.6%。
