動畫《RWBY》之父病逝　享年33歲

知名網路動畫《RWBY》恐畫下休止符，因為原作暨導演Monty Oum驚傳病逝，享年33歲。

根據《遊戲基地》報導指出，Monty Oum於1月21日進行醫療檢查，但過程中因藥物而引發過敏昏迷而緊急住院。經治療最終還是不敵病魔，於美國時間2月1號下午離世。而在《RWBY》中，Monty Oum除擔任原作暨導演外，也是該系列的編劇、動畫師與角色配音員，在團隊中工作極為重要，素有《RWBY》之父之稱。Monty Oum的逝世可能造成《RWBY》第三季難產。

《RWBY》是Rooster Teeth於2013年起推出的動畫影集，分別以紅色（Red）、白色（White）、黑色（Black）以及黃色（Yellow）四種顏色頭文字構成作品標題，講述四位主角Ruby、Weiss Schnee、Blake Belladonna和Yang Xiao Long在混沌世界中斬斷邪惡的旅程。推出後受到熱烈的迴響，在2014年獲得「最佳網路動畫影集」與「最佳原創配樂」的殊榮。(即時新聞中心／綜合報導)
