許多人的馬來西亞旅遊清單內，一定脫離不了「小吃」兩個字。

在大城市，小吃攤一般在小食中心才會看到；若是在較小的鄉鎮，路邊就能見到各式各樣的攤販。

小吃口味較多偏辣及鹹，價格很便宜，100元新台幣就能吃到兩至三種小吃。

馬來人方面，一般會販賣的小吃為沙嗲（Satay）、紅豆冰（Ice Kacang）、漢堡、拉沙（Laksa）等；華人會販賣囉?（Rojak）、魷魚蕹菜、鮮蛤、滷肉等。

至於印度人小吃攤則有印度煎餅（Roti Canai）、印度餅（Muruku）、印度捲餅（Tosai）及印度麵餅（Chapati）等。

其中，一些小吃如拉沙及沙嗲還曾被票選為全球最好吃食物。
