全球各地城市空氣污染嚴重

世界衛生組織7日說，世界各地大多數城市居民都置身於不安全的空氣污染，而且問題還可能惡化。

世衛的城市空氣品質資料庫，涵蓋91國的1600個城市，並顯示全球城市居民只有12%享有符合世衛準則的空氣品質。

雖然一些富裕的已開發國家近年來空氣品質改善，可是中低所得國家城市的污染卻升高。事實上，全球幾有一半城市居民呼吸的空氣，粒子污染程度至少比安全標準高出兩倍半。

世衛主管說，有太多城市中心被污濁空氣籠罩，連天際線都朦朧不清，呼吸當地空氣也很危險。

世衛敦促各方重視空氣污染對健康的危害，並指出它3月間的報告已顯示，2012年全球有370萬人因燒煤和柴油引擎等活動造成的戶外空氣污染而喪生。
